We are excited that you’re considering submitting your work to Midnight Literary Agency. Our mission is to amplify diverse stories that inspire, entertain and leave a lasting impact.
At this time, we are accepting submissions in the following genres: Children’s, Young Adult, fiction and select Non-fiction genres.
Please note that screenplays are not being accepted at this time.
how to submit
Submission guildlines
To ensure your submission is reviewed promptly, please follow these guidelines:
- Subject Line: QUERY – [Genre] – [Manuscript Title] by [Your Name]
- Query Letter: One-page introduction about you and your manuscript. Include the title, genre, word count, and brief pitch of your story. You can also mention any relevant background or writing credits you have.
- Synopsis: A brief summary (1-2 pages) of your story. This should include key points, major characters, and any important themes, giving us a clear sense of what the story is about.
- The first 10 pages of your manuscript or 1-3 chapters. These pages should be in a Word or PDF document, using Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spaced.
What to Expect and Response Time:
We understand the anticipation of waiting for a response. Please allow us 6-8 weeks for a response. If you do not hear from us after that time, please feel free to follow up.
Please note: At Midnight Literary Agency, we believe that writers should never have to pay for the opportunity to be represented. We do not charge any fees for submissions, evaluations, or representation. If we work together, our compensation is based on commission—we earn a percentage of deals we help you secure.
We are passionate about supporting writers and building lasting careers, not collecting fees. Please be cautious if anyone contacts you requesting upfront payment for readings, submissions, or any other fees. They are not affiliated with our agency.
